Janet Zeller is the National Accessibility Program Manager for the U.S. Forest Service. She has worked in the fields of accessibility and mediation since the mid-1980s and has been with the Forest Service since 1991. Janet and her team are responsible for the development and implementation of program and facility accessibility across the 193 million acres of the National Forest System. She also represents the Forest Service working on accessibility issues with organizations, States, and other federal agencies. Janet instructs accessibility and universal design of programs and facilities at a wide range of training sessions nationally.

In her personal life, Janet is a lifelong paddler first canoeing and for the past 30 years also sea kayaking. After a 1984 accident resulted in quadriplegia, she was determined to return to paddling. Janet developed the American Canoe Association (ACA) adaptive paddling program in 1989. She is the author of the 2009 book Canoeing and Kayaking for People with Disabilities. Janet is an ACA Instructor Trainer Educator and the lead instructor for the ACA Adaptive Paddling program. She has been presenting Adaptive Paddling Workshops at a wide range of venues nationally since 1990.
